Disney Has A Great Patent On December 28, 2021, Which Allows Them To Connect Metaverse And The Physical World Now!

Disney has been granted a patent that will enable it to create virtual reality experiences for its theme parks.

Disney will be able to build more customized interactive attractions for theme park guests thanks to the new patent. The new technology will also allow for headset-free augmented reality (AR) experiences at Disney theme parks.

Disney officially registered a ‘Real-World Virtual World Simulator’ patent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in July 2020 and was approved on December 28, 2021, according to a January 10 official site publication.

Tilak Mandadi, a Chief Strategy Officer of Disney, revealed on LinkedIn in November 2021 that his company was planning to connect the digital and physical worlds. He said:

“As we look to the future, connected park experiences that transcend the physical and digital barrier and unlock new layers of storytelling are the exciting focus of ours.”

“These experiences are perennial, and the guest engagement is inside and outside the parks. They are unique to you but are also social and connected. They are constantly changing, so there is always something new to discover.”

Although Disney had denied their wills to utilize the simulator in the near future in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Mandadi’s vision for the “Theme Park Metaverse” is now more clear.

The Metaverse is one of the most well-known blockchain concepts right now; many businesses are turning to the Metaverse to increase user involvement recently. For years, many people have imagined Metaverse as an existing internet technology that can only be accessed via virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) headsets. However, Disney’s new technology would bring the Metaverse to the physical world.
