Mac Jones, the rookie quarterback sensation and the greatest chance for the 9-5 New England Patriots to continue their decades-long NFL dynasty, is gifting Bitcoin to his whole offensive line this Christmas.

Mac Jones has been researching Bitcoin for quite some time. This year, he decided that he had to give his teammates some Bitcoin, Jones explained. 

Mac Jones then contacted fellow Alabama alumnus and Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey. In addition to Bitcoin, Jones and Bailey opted to provide the whole Patriots offensive line with a financial education resource in the form of a Bitcoin Magazine print subscription, as well as passes to the Bitcoin 2022 conference, which is slated to be the largest Bitcoin event in history.

Bitcoin Magazine CEO said:

“When Mac told us he wanted to spread the Bitcoin wealth for Christmas, we jumped at the opportunity to support him. Our mission is to make Bitcoin the de facto money of humanity, which means blending it into our popular culture.”

Mac Jones is now the first NFL quarterback to accept Bitcoin as part of a practice that has become a tradition among elite athletes in America’s most watched sports league. Quarterbacks frequently go the extra mile to help their colleagues, as a happy and motivated offensive line defends them from an avalanche of aggressive tacklers.

NFL quarterbacks handed their colleagues a variety of one-of-a-kind presents in 2020, ranging from Pacman arcade games to handmade paintings.

Jones is giving Bitcoin to 12 Patriots players in all. According to the Pew Research Center, everybody will now possess Bitcoin for the first time, joining the 46 million Americans who own Bitcoin or another type of cryptocurrency.
