Tesla Adds Shiba Inu Payment Option

Shiba Inu investors can expect some good news. Rumors are circulating that Tesla could add the controversial meme token as a payment option.

The origin of the rumor goes back to an analysis of the source code of the Tesla website, in which SHIB is shown as a payment method. However, there is no official information from the EV company yet.

According to Watcher News, the payment processing code behind the company’s website shows that the Shiba Inu, along with the bitcoin mentioned in the case banner code, is currently not available for public use.

However, to further confirm the speculation, it has been found that in most cases the back-end code is used to activate payment methods and, looking at the current back-end code, it is only fitting that bitcoin and Shiba Inu could very well do it for Tesla.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, a radical Dogecoin proponent, could disrupt the internet if adding Shiba Inu to Tesla is true. The day before yesterday, Musk backed up his favorite DOGE again by announcing that tuition fees for his university in Texas, known as the Texas Institute of Science & Technology, will be accepted in Dogecoin, and also announced that dog owners will receive a special discount. However, prior to Musk’s tweet, the coin was seeing only the smallest gains.

Hence, it is possible that Musk could now turn to Shiba Inu after witnessing DOGE’s unresponsiveness.

Some experts question Tesla’s ability to accept SHIB as a payment option. This is because the ERC20 cryptocurrency is not a good payment option due to the high Ethereum network fees.

However, Sawyer Merritt points out that the source code from Tesla’s website lists Shiba Inu in the Test Items section. Merritt said he was unsure of the implications of this discovery due to his lack of programming experience. Sawyer Merritt is the co-founder of Twin Birch, a clothing line and has no crypto expertise. He leaves the explanation open because he’s not a programmer.

Will the Shiba Inu rise if Tesla adds a Shiba Inu payment option?

The Shiba Inu gained nearly 800% in October, hitting an all-time high of $ 0.0008850.

Despite this stellar form, critics continue to claim that SHIB is another lightning bolt that will soon collapse to zero.

However, Shiba Inu continues to build fundamental strength and this was recently demonstrated through its Shiboshi NFTs which have built an impressive 2 ETH floor.

Some crypto experts believe that Tesla’s acceptance of Bitcoin as a payment option was a major factor that led to the Bitcoin price peaking in mid-April. If rumors are true that Tesla will accept Shiba Inu as a payment option, it is likely that the cryptocurrency will appreciate similarly following Tesla’s official announcement.
