Coinbase to be the official crypto platform of the NBA + WNBA

Coinbase Global, Inc. (Coinbase) and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) announced a multiyear collaboration today, with Coinbase serving as the league’s official cryptocurrency platform partner. The WNBA’s worldwide collaboration is the league’s first in the cryptocurrency area.

This first-of-its-kind collaboration will include exclusive Coinbase content, innovations, activations, and experiences to educate WNBA fans about the growing developments in the cryptoeconomy. Starting with the 2022 WNBA season, which begins in May 2022, Coinbase will have a marketing presence during nationally broadcast games.

Coinbase and the NBA also announced a multiyear collaboration, with Coinbase becoming the official cryptocurrency platform of the NBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League, and USA Basketball. The worldwide collaboration is each organization’s first in the bitcoin platform area.
