Eden Network Deployer’s Address Private Key May Be Leaked

The crypto security company discovered that the Eden Network’s deployer address initiated an anomalous on-chain transaction. The attacker used this permission to modify the name and symbol of the EDEN coin to EDEN Hack Inu and EDENHACK. The original cause of the hack was believed to be caused by profanity vulnerability.

On October 14, under the supervision of the Supremacy security team, the deployer address of the Eden Network initiated an unusual on-chain transaction.

Implementer named setMetadataManager to transfer his metadata admin rights to attacker address 0x5C95123b1c8d9D8639197C81a829793B469A9f32 and then hacker used this Permission Change the name and icon of EDEN Token to “EDEN Hack Inu” and “EDENHACK”.

Since the deployer’s address has transferred the admin rights of the EDEN Token, the current attack has no other effects. This attack can be caused by the profanity vulnerability.

Currently, EDEN Network has not yet confirmed the hack.

The Eden Network is a priority trading network that protects Ethereum traders from malicious MEVs and arbitrary changes in the order of transaction priority. Backed by a large pool of Ethereum’s largest miners, Eden creates new incentives for “blockpackers” after implementing EIP-1559 and redistributing MEVs more equitably.

Ethereum trading protocol Eden Network has raised $17.4 million in seed funding from some of the blockchain’s largest venture funds such as Multicoin Capital, Alameda Research, Jump Capital, Wintermute, GSR, and DeFiance Capital, among others.
