For clarity, the floor price represents the lowest price of the NFT collection, not the average price. In other words, this is the lowest price at which an irreplaceable token can be purchased from the group.
Bored Ape’s starting price drops below $100,000
According to NFT PRICE FLOOR data, the reserve price of Bored Apes’ fell below $100,000 for the first time in almost a year. At the time of writing, the minimum amount of BAYC was $87,000 (72 ETH), down 60% from the all-time high. The last time Ape traded within this price range was around August 2021.
Despite the decline, BAYC maintained its status as the largest NFT project, with a market capitalization of around $1.7 billion.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club is a renowned NFT series that replaced Crypto Punks as the most valuable NFT in the world at the end of Q3 2021.
The rarest boring Ape was sold for more than $1.5 million at its peak, while the most expensive one was auctioned for $3.4 million (852.39 ETH) last October. In the same period, the other monkeys were cheaper and had a base price of more than $250,000. However, BAYC sales and prices have fallen steadily due to the recent market sell-off.
Except for Bored Apes, other top-rated NFT collections have high starting prices. For example, Punks, the second most extensive collection of NFTs, now has a floor price of $58,000 (48 ETH), compared to a floor price of $160,000 (66.9 ETH) in February.

Interestingly, BAYC’s floor price has fallen below $100,000, providing a buying opportunity for investors who want to buy NFT at a lower price.
About 26 no-tail monkeys were sold in the last 24 hours, 116% more than the day before. BAYC also saw a 50% increase in daily trading volume, with more than $2.6 million traded in the last 24 hours.
