Anthony Hopkins Consults Artists On The Proposal To Release The First NFT

On June 9, Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins posted a message asking Jimmy Fallon, Snoop Dogg, and Reese Witherspoon to pitch the idea of the first NFT release.

Anthony Hopkins was one of the first veteran Hollywood stars to enter the NFT film industry. Now, he is now ready to dive deeper into NFT, owning both the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain and consulting with colleagues.

The domain name craze started up early last month, it was one of the early NFT projects on Ethereum, allowing users to issue domain names consisting of wildcard characters for their name or brand, ending with “.eth”.

This morning, “The Silence of the Lambs” star officially changed her Twitter name to AHopkins.eth. He then posted a tweet with a suggestion that Jimmy Fallon, rapper Snoop Dogg, and actress Reese Witherspoon hint at the idea of releasing the first NFT.

Very shortly after, Fallon responded:

Snoop Dogg and Reese Witherspoon have not yet responded to the request. However, Hopkins’ post attracted thousands of comments and countless suggestions. Most of them are very excited about the actor’s move.

Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg has been in the NFT space since last year and has become a hugely popular KOL in the field due to his unwavering support and tens of millions of dollars in collections. In April, this American rapper released the NFT collection on Cardano.

The male rapper is a “connoisseur” NFT player, from spending money on owning Bored Ape Yacht Club, to his own NFT launches. Not to mention the partnership with The Sandbox on the “Snoop Avatars” collection and the collaboration with meme artist Nyan Cat to organize the NFT auction on OpenSea.

Fallon is also a solid holder for the Bored Ape Yacht Club and Moonbirds. Witherspoon has been an early supporter of Web3 and her Hello Sunshine studio is developing TV and film projects based on the NFT World of Women collection.
