Binance CEO Wants To Be Supported In Expanding Operations In Vietnam.
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao met with the Vietnam Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee to discuss the blockchain industry’s development in Vietnam.
On the morning of June 4, Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) met with Mr. Nguyen Manh Tien, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee, after attending the NFT event.
This is part of Binance’s collaboration with the Vietnam Blockchain Association in Vietnam (VBA). CZ stated at the meeting that the Vietnamese market has a lot of potential. He also wants Binance’s operations to grow, thus he wants to be supported.
The CEO said:
“Binance would like to exchange research in blockchain technology application and human resource training in Vietnam, as well as learn about the country’s regulations and legislation.”
Blockchain technology, according to CZ, can be used in a variety of sectors, including financial, virtual asset management, and art. Binance’s founder also highlighted the fact that the company is in the technology industry, allowing it to focus on educating technology human resources in cooperation with universities. CZ said:
“Binance will always abide by Vietnam’s legal policies and prioritize user safety,”
Vietnam welcomes global partners and enterprises in the digital economy, according to Mr. Nguyen Manh Tien. Vietnam is always open and ready to cooperate to develop the potential of blockchain technology application, according to the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee.
However, a member of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee pointed out that Vietnam does not yet have a blockchain regulation. As a result, Mr. Tien advised that Binance collaborate on legal policy research, as well as training and technology knowledge dissemination efforts.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Tien also proposed that the Vietnam Blockchain Association work more closely with Binance and other blockchain investors to explore and create blockchain applications in a variety of technological areas. The Association can also propose and suggest policies to the National Assembly for the future development of blockchain technology.
Mr. Tien said:
“We will soon coordinate our personnel through the Vietnam Blockchain Association to learn from successful models in the field of blockchain technology governance and scaling applications. In the near future, I hope Binance will play a significant linking role.”
In response to Mr. Nguyen Manh Tien, the CEO of Binance responded by promising to take positive action to implement the cooperation’s terms. He also praised the Vietnam Blockchain Association for its efforts to promote the digital economy and digital transformation.
CZ arrived in Vietnam on June 3 to meet with the units in charge of developing blockchain technology in the country. On the morning of June 4, he attended the NFT conference hosted by the Vietnam Blockchain Association, and subsequently spoke at a cafe in Hanoi.
