Shroom Kingdom is an upcoming play-to-earn video game built with web technologies running on the NEAR Protocol Blockchain.

What is Shroom Kingdom?

Shroom Kingdom is a platforming and jumping-and-running game inspired by classic platformers. By engaging in the game, active players will receive a token.

All of the assets that will be used in Shroom Kingdom will be donated by the players. Players can either use the game’s original assets or game changes with user-created assets in Super Mario Maker 2. Original assets are not required because, after the game is released, a good default set of assets will be provided.

How does it work?

Shroom Kingdom is a browser-based game made utilizing web technologies. The web application is written in HTML5, WebAssembly, and WebGL2 and should work in any modern browser.

The user must provide an asset resource file in order to play on Shroom Kingdom. An external software named Asset Extractor can create this file. The Asset Extractor can create the resource file from either an original Super Mario Maker 2 game file or a modded game file.

It is possible for players to play with their friends. You can either create your own levels or play levels created by others. Every level created in Shroom Kingdom is saved as an NFT on the blockchain.

The following are the game’s key activities:

Create new levels.
Existing levels can be played.
Participate in the challenges to climb the leaderboard.
Virtual Reality
When you play the game, you can gain SHRM tokens either actively by participating in in-game activities or passively by having others play or like your level.

SHRM tokens will be used to purchase in-game items like new construction blocks and license upgrades. There will be no limit to the number of SHRM tokens available. Tokens will be earned if everyone plays the game together, and they will be burned if they are used on in-game purchases.

Outstanding Features

The NEAR Protocol is used by Shroom Kingdom. Users must create a Near Wallet account and connect it to their account in order to enjoy all platform capabilities.

Players can begin earning SHRM tokens based on their current level of play. It is possible to transfer to DEX and swap SHRM tokens for NEAR tokens to pay gas fees if enough tokens have been obtained.
