$470k BAYC NFT Has Been Purchased by The Famous Singer Madonna Posted on Instagram

The “Queen of Pop”- Madonna is the most recent celebrity to join the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). Following her Instagram account, Madonna revealed on her post this Thursday that she had purchased her very own BAYC NFT.

“I finally entered the metaverse…. My very own Ape! What should I name her? “

said Madonna.

The singer also said she used MoonPay‘s concierge service to help her make the purchase. The Ape in Madonna’s post fits the description of Bored Ape # 4988, which was sold on Mar. 16 for 180 ETH or $ 462,800. To secure the NFT, Madonna reportedly paid 105 % more than the collection floor price and 57% more than the adjusted floor price.

When Madonna posted the image to social media, she appears to have edited the cigarette out of the cartoon ape’s mouth and changed the background colour from orange to blue. The singer joins a long list of celebrities who have recently purchased BAYC NFTs, including Justin Bieber, who paid $ 1.3 million for his first Ape, and Eminem, who paid $ 460,000 in ETH earlier this year.
