Bored Ape Yacht NFT Go Hollywood with WME Talent Agency. Let’s go Bananas!

WME, often considered one of Hollywood’s “big four” agencies, along with CAA and others, has just signed the Bored Ape Yacht Club DJ combo ESCAPPLAN for all future engagements. The identities of the pseudonymous duo are represented by their Bored Ape NFTs.

ESCAPΞPLAN consists of Bored Apes #309 and #4321 also known as zETH and ETHan, respectively. Yuga Labs, the designer of the Bored Apes, is noted for having a non-restrictive IP policy, allowing Bored Ape holders to utilize their NFTs for commercial purposes.

The news of the contract came shortly after electronic musician Dillon Francis stated that he will accept Bored Ape #378 as part of a partnership with Big Night Entertainment, which owns various nightclubs and promotes ESCAPΞPLAN. Later this year, the Bored Ape duo will release several songs with Francis. The video content for ESCAPΞPLAN would be animated and would include a large number of BAYC. According to Tim Bonito of Big Night Entertainment, ESCAPΞPLAN’s new music video for the song “Jungle” with rapper Rich the Kid includes 88 Bored Ape NFTs.

“I had to have an Ape so that I could be in the music videos with ESCAPΞPLAN,” Francis explained. According to Bonito, ESCAPΞPLAN is a hybrid of Web2 and Web3, in his opinion, are among the most responsive to NFTs and that the field is rapidly evolving.

“Things change so quickly in Web3 that I think that in six months from now, the world is going to be completely different,”

Bonito said.
