BREAKING: Ukraine’s $WORLD Airdrop is a Scam! The Government Has Now Cancelled the Airdrop!

$WORLD Is Not Ukraine’s Token!

After gathering more than $33 million in various cryptocurrencies from international donors, Ukraine announced an airdrop to thank all the donors. The nation said that at 6:00 PM (UTC/GMT+2 hours) on March 3, 2022, it would take a snapshot of all wallets contributed to it in the previous days.

Within hours of the airdrop announcement, more than $7 million in contributions had been raised. On March 3, everybody surprisingly saw that 7 billion Peaceful World (WORLD) tokens had been given to Ukraine’s ERC-20 wallet address. As a result, this token was believed to be related to the Ukrainian government, or maybe it is the native token of Ukraine.

Furthermore, Ukraine’s ERC-20 wallet sent 1 million WORLD to Uniswap, a DEX exchange that also established its own interface to make it simple for users to give to Ukraine.

However, before the official airdrop time a few hours, Ukraine’s Ethereum wallet was reported to have begun airdropping WORLD tokens to ERC-20 addresses. Consequently, many people believe that this token is a scam and not an official token from the Ukrainian government because the snapshot time has not yet come.

Subsequently, the Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has announced that the government decided to cancel the airdrop a few hours before its beginning.

In the statement, Mykhailo said that Ukraine “DO NOT HAVE any plans to issue any fungible tokens”, which means they are clearly not related to WORLD tokens. Besides that, he revealed that his country will release NFTs to support Ukrainian Armed Forces soon.
