Film star Johnny Depp is about to launch into the world of NFTs with a collection of artworks called ‘Never Fear Truth’.
What is Never Fear Truth?
Never Fear Truth will be the title of a collection of 11,111 NFT portraits to be released by Johnny Depp in the near future. Another passion of his is painting, which he is currently sharing with the world through NFT’s.
In this Johnny Depp NFT collection, there will be a total of 10,000 non-fungible tokens available for purchase. All of these will be distributed through a public sale While 10,000 NFTs are available for purchase and will be distributed by a raffle and public sale, with a restricted number of whitelist spaces reserved for community collaborators and NFT locals. The remaining 1111 will be distributed “at his discretion” to “those fans who supported him the most” as well as his teams. Team NFTs are locked up for three months. 25% of sales will be donated to charity.
The NFT collection by the American actor includes portraits of friends, heroes and family, such as Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Hunter S Thompson, Heath Ledger, Lily-Rose Depp, Tim Burton, and Depp’s late dog Mooh. There is also a fictional self-portrait and a depiction of ‘Bunnyman’, the subject of one of his son’s dreams.
“In this first public exposure of Johnny’s art, he has focussed on ‘Friends and Heroes’. People he has known well, and who have inspired him as a person. Each image is an intimate reflection of their character in Johnny’s eyes; a portrayal of how they have revealed themselves to him,” the website states.
“My paintings surround my life, but I kept them to myself and limited myself. Nobody should ever limit themselves,” the actor admitted.
Depp’s NFTs are unique in that they include both digital and physical high-resolution prints. NFT owners are still responsible for production and transportation cost. They are printed on Somerset 410gsm Satin paper using professional acrylic inks, and embossed with your unique NFT and Johnny Depp’s official art certification. This print will be a unique work of art, like your NFT, and only available to the NFT owner. (Coming soon in May 2022).
