Rare Beatles Audio Interviews Will Be Released As NFTs
One of the world’s largest and most renowned bands has dropped interviews as NFTs. Exclusive interviews with The Beatles’ John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr are being sold off as digital NFTs.
According to the Voices of Classic Rock Archive (VOCR), which is minting and auctioning the NFTs as well as organizing the event, an auction will be conducted as the first time an old school music artist’s interviews will be auctioned as NFTs. These four NFT interviews, which haven’t been heard by the general public in decades, are now available to the winning bidder.
“John Lennon on “A Day in the Life,” Paul McCartney on “Chaos and Creation in the Backyard,” George Harrison on “Abbey Road,” and Ringo Starr on “His Lost Medallion” are the headings of the interviews. VOCR has a treasure trove full of treasures from bands such as The Beatles and Led Zeppelin; this is a means for music and NFT fans to invest in some of their favorite historical performers.
Jonathan Firstenberg, VOCR’s Managing Director, said:
The extensive variety of Beatles interviews that we have in our collection are, perhaps, our most comprehensive and valuable assets – that is why we wanted to launch with John, Paul, George and Ringo – the ultimate Classic Rock Stars!”
Firstenberg proceeded, saying while there were numerous options for introducing this archive to the public, they decided to start with NFTs because the present market demand for unique NFT assets constituted of original material appears to be developing at a quick rate. Furthermore, NFT auctions are a wonderfully suitable and efficient method of marketing audio interviews.
He believe that NFTs as a new medium are here to stay, and they are very interested to see how this new medium will develop. The platform will specifically investigate how the market determines what property rights must be integrated within an NFT in order for it to have actual intrinsic value.
Each NFT will feature distinctive artwork as well as a WAV file of the interview. The NFTs will be run on the Ethereum blockchain, and bidders will only be able to use Ethereum (ETH) to place a bid and purchase. Each NFT has a minimum bid of 1.25 Ethereum, which is a costly price tag for the average music fan, especially given ETH’s recent pricing of approximately $4,000 per coin.
