15 Cryptocurrency Leaders Make Forbes 30 Under 30 List

Forbes named 15 young crypto executives in its list of 30 under 30 for 2022 publish December 1.

Despite the misleading name, Forbes’ annual 30 under 30 list actually includes 600 people ages 30 and under from 20 fields like finance, gaming, and music. Notable names from last year’s edition include the founder of FTX and Alameda Research, Sam Bankman-Fried, and Brian Tubergen, co-founder of the US exchange and the first token offering, CoinList.

In this latest installment, Forbes notes that the total wealth of those on the list of those aged 30 under 30 is more than $ 1 billion.

The publication names 15 crypto executives, including co-CEOs Alamada Research, Caroline Ellison and Sam Trabucco, OpenSea co-founder Alex Atallah and PleasrDAO founder Emily Yang.

The category with the most crypto leaders is finance with names like Clinton Bembry, founder of the Slingshot-based DeFi platform; Tegan Kline, founder of the blockchain data indexing protocol Edge & Node; and Roneil Rumburg, co-founder of the blockchain-based streaming service Audius.

Outside of finance, PleasrDao’s Emily Yang makes it into the arts category by buying impressive NFT collections, including Edward Snowden’s first NFT “Stay Free” for 2,224 ethers in April ($ 10.1 million at current prices). Blockworks co-founders Michael Ippolito and Jason Yanowitz are recognized in the Media category for their efforts in crypto journalism.

“I’ve dreamed of being at Forbes 30 Under 30 since college, but as a little visual effects artist I never would have thought it was possible … NFT changed my life again.”

This year’s crypto team is 50% up on the 10 young crypto executives named in the previous issue, reflecting the growing trend of crypto adoption in the mainstream media. Part of this could be because more and more crypto entrepreneurs have made the list of the richest people in the past 12 months.

Last month, seven crypto founders made it onto the Australian Financial Review’s annual “Richest Entrepreneurs Under 40” list. Forbes April 2021 Richest Billionaires List also includes 13 crypto leaders, tripling last year.
