California-based music streaming platform Audius has released new functionality that allows artists and fans to embed non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on various websites and social media platforms such as Twitter and Discord.
The ’embed’ feature aims to improve fan interaction for musicians through NFT adoption and website 3 integration.
To enable this feature, artists need to link an Audius account to their phantom wallet, a Crypto wallet focused on the Solana ecosystem. With the aim of increasing the detection capabilities of Solana NFTs, the company stated:
“NFT owners can embed their collections from the two largest blockchains in their Twitter timeline, personal website, and website. This new feature makes collectibles even more mainstream. ”
The blockchain-based music streaming platform includes popular mainstream artists such as Katy Perry, Nas and The Chainsmokers and will see a seven-fold growth in user numbers by 2021.
While social media platforms allow the use of JPEG images, the embedding functionality provided by Audius displays NFT metadata that artists can use to market and sell their skills.
