BASIC SUPPORT TOOLS FOR YOU

Basic Instructions – Part 02

TO INTRODUCE

This is the next article in the series “The ultimate guide for newbies“In the previous article I gave you an overview of the cryptocurrency market, and since this article the guide has been a summary of the practical and experience in the process of participating in the cryptocurrency market over the past few years.

Perhaps many of you consider the things I am listing below unnecessary or not very important. But in my opinion, if you safely protect what you mentioned below, you will save a lot of time and unnecessary risks, due to which you can lose all of your money. I am not exaggerating, I have seen many unnecessary losses from many of you who have been indifferent to this subject.

This is a basic toolkit for newbies.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

  1. E-mail – Confirm yourself in a separate email
  2. 2FA: Two-Factor Authentication – Set up two-step verification
  3. Password manager
  4. VPN service
  5. Work out

You intend to enter the cryptocurrency market, ok.

You should start with a new email address or your familiar email address. I recommend starting with a new email address. How is the ear

  • You should first separate what concerns your life from the cryptocurrency. In the long run, this will make you feel a lot more comfortable, trust me.
  • Second, the market and people won’t know who you are when you first start, so it’s time to come up with your own nickname, something personal that will identify you in the market in the future. A little motivation is better, isn’t it?

Just a new email, there is nothing too much to say about that. But regardless of whether you are a newbie or have been in this market for some time and are reading this article, “E-mail“Is located in the platform toolkit. Please protect it carefully.

So what type of email will we choose?

That’s right, I mean the platform your email is running on. There are many services out there that can provide you with a new email address, but you should know that each service differs in terms of quality. If you use services that are not secure enough, you run the risk of putting your own information into the wrong hands.

There are many options so I will give you 2 options:

  1. There is a monthly fee
  2. Free

Ok, is there any difference here from the other 2 options? His answer is absolutely no. Free is as safe as paying a monthly fee, I still use a free email account here.

However, if you are looking to invest in this market with an amount greater than $ 100,000, then you should reconsider the premium option. The biggest difference right now is that it makes you feel more secure.

Proton mail

Proton mail

This is (for now) your first choice when it comes to security and anonymity. Developed by scientists from Cern and MIT, it is also touted as the world’s most secure email service. According to Forbes, Protonmail is the only email system the NSA can’t hack. However, be very careful with the password, if you do not lose it in order to use the fully functional version, the monthly fee is around € 4.00.

If you don’t want to invest too much in this market, you don’t have to pay any monthly fees for it. Please keep thinking.

Gmail

Gmail

This option is not uncommon. Behind it is the giant Google, currently gmail’s market share in Vietnam is up to 90%, which means that everyone who uses the internet has a gmail account. In addition to being popular and easy to use, Gmail is also very secure, especially if you’ve enabled 2FA (two-factor authentication) or other security features. It protects you from phishing attacks and makes it impossible for hackers to easily crack your password.

I also use Gmail as the primary address to sign up for most accounts when participating in the market.

Exercise:

Choose yourself an email address that you would like to use in the cryptocurrency market.

Note:

After you’ve selected your email address, the next steps to set up this email account are described below.

2. 2FA – TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

The second basic tool is Multi-factor authentication. To be a little more specific, you will need to confirm this one or more times before logging into your account or confirming your action. In the following section, I’ll take you step by step.

In fact, there are quite a few options when it comes to 2FA. For the sake of simplicity, I’ll talk about the 2FA tool I use. If you choose a different 2FA tool, it also has the same installation steps.

Here I choose: Google authenticator

Exercise:

Please install Google Authenticator on your phone using the link above.

Note:

After the installation is complete, you should put it in a subfolder, don’t let it be too visible outside of your home screen.

Because of the complexity and clutter associated with creating and storing critical accounts and documents on the internet, a password manager is definitely a must-have to help you manage the clutter.

Hence, it is the third platform tool that I recommend to you.

Law, PASSWORD That is what interests us most here. I bet you had at least one problem with it, didn’t you? It is very easy for you to manage your passwords when you have few accounts online, but the truth is that we keep getting more and more accounts and managing it becomes a nightmare when we have too many accounts.

You can write it down in your notebook, save it in Word, excel … but when you enter the cryptocurrency market, everything you need to remember is going to be a lot bigger. I had problems with this so a password manager is something to consider now. I use it and it saves me a lot of time and effort to deal with this mess.

In the practice section below, you can see how much to remember.

Now I’m going to introduce everyone to the current password manager software I use and add a few other options.

LastPass-1 password

LastPass

The first option is LastPass, which has a free version for everyone and a paid version for $ 36 per year. I am very satisfied with this password manager so far. The next exercise you will see more clearly why you are satisfied.

Lastpass can be used almost universally on almost all operating systems and web browsers. The premium version can share passwords with others without revealing the information they contain, use multi-factor authentication via YubiKey and get 1 GB of additional encrypted storage that we need.

1Password

1Password is similar and has all the features like LastPass. The user interface is nicer, but there is no free version. I’ve tried, but honestly the task manager doesn’t suit my personality. However, you should give it a try and see how it goes.

Bit guardian

Bitwarden is an open source password manager that can generate, store, and auto-fill your passwords on all of today’s major devices and browsers. If you’re just looking for a service to manage logins, Bitwarden can’t beat anyone. The $ 10 annual plan is only for the two managers mentioned above. You can add 1 GB of space for encrypted files and other functions.

Exercise:

Please install the password manager of your choice on your phone as well as the web browser you are using via the link above.

Note:

After the installation is complete, you should put it in a subfolder, don’t let it be too visible outside of your home screen.

4. SERVICES VPN

VPN

This tool is optional for most people, but if you want to protect yourself in the digital space, using a VPN service is essential.

VPN is an abbreviation for Virtual Private Network. Its job is to hide the websites you visit so that no one can track your online activity. They just understand that when you use a VPN service you become invisible on the internet.

As I said above, this tool is part of the Platform Toolkit, but you won’t necessarily need it to begin with, so that’s what we’ll be talking about in the near future. If you want to ask more about VPN services, just PN me in the Facebook group.

Exercise:

Try searching for “VPN service” on google.com for a fuller overview of the tool.

Note:

Most of the time, this service requires you to pay a certain fee to use it. You should consult various services in advance to find the best price.

As I said, my next step will be to guide newbies to practice the tools presented above. While there are only 3 tools, once you know how to use them properly the benefits are enormous.

1. Set up Google Authenticator

Google authenticator

Google authenticator is a two-step verification code generator application on your phone that allows you to better protect your accounts by requiring a second verification step when you sign in. You will be asked to enter an additional code 6 random numbers from the Google app …
