Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange, announced on Monday that it would be listing the shiba inu cryptocurrency (SHIB) on its platform. According to the San Francisco-based exchange, Kraken’s product lead, Brian Hoffman, stated that if the tweet receives 2K likes, the shiba inu will be listed on Tuesday. At the time of writing, the tweet had received 50.9K likes and 13.8K retweets.

Kraken, which was founded in 2011, claims to be the world’s largest global digital asset exchange in terms of euro volume and liquidity. According to its website, its global client base trades more than 60 digital assets and seven different fiat currencies, including EUR, USD, CAD, GBP, JPY, CHF, and AUD. Kraken was the first cryptocurrency company in the United States to be granted a state-chartered banking license. The crypto exchange serves over 7 million traders worldwide.

A Kraken customer representative confirmed late Monday that SHIB will be listed “sometime tomorrow,” adding, “We do not have an exact time when it will be listed, but there should be an update tomorrow.”

SHIB supporters view the listing on Kraken as extremely bullish, with the price of shiba inu expected to skyrocket. “Bullish news for SHIB, expecting a price increase once it becomes available for trade here,” one person tweeted. Kraken will most likely profit from exchange fees as well.” Another predicts that the price of SHIB will skyrocket, citing Kraken’s listing as a “much-needed boost” for the meme coin.

Meanwhile, supporters of the Shiba Inu have been attempting to get the trading platform Robinhood to list SHIB. A petition on Change.org has 460K signatures urging Robinhood to list the meme coin. Shiba inu adoption is also increasing, with AMC Theatres considering accepting SHIB as payment alongside dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies.
