Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave a keynote speech at the Connect event held on October 29 at 12:00 a.m. to announce a tech giant’s ambitions to create a 3D virtual world called Metaverse.
Part of that vision seems to have a big role to play for NFTs and Spark AR, which Facebook’s Metaverse will focus on.

Facebook announced a number of new projects this morning to support its vision for Metaverse, including a $ 150 million endowment fund to encourage its customers to take advantage of the “virtual universe.” Mark also announced that the company will spend $ 10 billion to make its Metaverse plan a reality.
Facebook’s virtual room also supports many applications for organizing objects, communicating, watching movies or playing games together. There are 3 main areas including Horizon Home, Horizon Worlds, and Horizon Workrooms.

“Our brand is so closely linked to a product that it cannot represent everything we do today, let alone the future,” said Mark Zuckerberg. “From now on we will first be known as the virtual universe Metaverse, not just Facebook.”
During the event, CEO Meta also presented new projects such as Horizon Workrooms – a platform that enables users to meet through virtual spaces with VR glasses. The company also announced the first user experiences for the Horizon Home and Horizon Venues projects.
Mark expressed his desire to make working from home a trend in the virtual world. He believes Metaverse can help colleagues interact with each other as if they were in the same place while getting dressed in the comfort of their own home.
