Mexican medical company accepts blockchain for Covid-3 test certificates

Medical services company MDS Mexico has launched a rapid Covid-19 test service that uses blockchain technology to verify the results.

17 report from local media company iProUP News, MDS Mexico has launched a digital platform that enables its patients to access updated results in real time. Results are also delivered physically, have a QR code that can be scanned to review the results, and access a patient’s vaccination history on the MDS Mexico blockchain.

MDS claims to have used blockchain to protect clinical test results, protect patient personal data, and prevent falsification of Covid test results. The MDS website says:

“In order to avoid falsifying negative results, we started to certify SARS-CoV-2 detection tests with blockchain technology and cryptographic signatures, which protect information in a single QR code, immutable and immutable, which can be verified worldwide . “

Test results uploaded to the MDS blockchain also contain a cryptographic signature of the doctor who reviewed the test results.

MDS isn’t the first company in Mexico to apply blockchain to digitized cryptographic test results. In April, the Mexican National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) announced a government-sponsored initiative to digitize vaccination records in collaboration with the private blockchain technology company Xertify.

In August, representatives of the blockchain industry in Australia also pushed for the introduction of a blockchain-based vaccine registry to prevent the spread of fake COVID-19 vaccine passports online.
