Ranking Kenyans as the fourth highest searched country for crypto worldwide means that the East African country has a greater interest per capita than both Nigeria and South Africa.

Additionally, the study estimates the number of crypto holders in Kenya at around 4,580,760. In terms of crypto awareness, the study found that Kenya’s score is 5.5 / 10.

Despite the increased interest of Kenyans in cryptocurrencies, the country’s authorities and the central bank of Kenya have so far refused to recognize cryptocurrencies.
