Hop Protocol Proposes To Airdrop HOP Tokens To Thank 35 Hunter Addresses

Shane Fontaine, the co-founder of the cross-chain bridge protocol Hop Protocol, has filed a proposal to award HOP airdrops to witch hunters, and Hop DAO is voting on this proposal.
According to the proposal, 869,566.51 HOP tokens will be distributed to 35 hunter addresses, which assisted the project party in removing Sybil attackers from the Hop airdrop when Hop DAO launched last year, allowing Hop DAO to keep nearly 3.5 million Hop tokens that would otherwise fall into Sybil’s hands. According to the Hop DAO introductory page, this proposal intends to reward Sybil hunters with 25% of rescued tokens.
Apart from the immediate advantages of token recovery, the Sybil hunters indirectly promoted the DAO. As a consequence of the hunters’ efforts and inventiveness, both the SAFE airdrop and the Arbitrum airdrop embraced features of Hop’s airdrop design, verifying and expanding the DAO’s impact. Throughout the airdrop process, each of those teams notably mentioned Hop as an influence.
In the future, the provided agreement will be attained at each level, and the proposal stated in HIP-13 will progress from the forum to a Snapshot proposal and finally to a Tally. Members of the community are invited to vote in order to influence the destiny of this vital effort.
