Brian Quintenz has been promoted to the position of head of policy at crypto and Web3 venture company a16z.
The former Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) officer joined the investment organization as an advisor last year, according to a statement from the firm.
Quintenz joined a16z as an advisor shortly after Web3 had experienced its first important moment in DC with the passing of the Infrastructure Bill.
The ex-CFTC Commissioner has been essential in assisting a16z and portfolio in managing DC’s complexity since then.
