On November 13th, the AAX website abruptly ceased its services, claiming that the integrity of some customer data was compromised due to errors made by third-party partners during the system upgrade, affecting platform services as well as risk management and control.

On November 28, Ben Caselin, vice president of encryption exchange AAX, tweeted that he had resigned from the company, claiming that his proposal had been rejected and that the company brand no longer existed.
