Nigerian AAX Users Attack Local Offices And Beat Staff
According to local media sources, on December 4th, Nigerian users surged into the AAX Exchange office in Lagos and battered the staff.
Angry consumers reportedly asked that the withdrawal freeze be lifted. The Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria (SIBAN) has issued a statement in response to an attack on AAX staff by enraged Nigerians.
On November 13th, the AAX website abruptly ceased its services, claiming that the integrity of some customer data was compromised due to errors made by third-party partners during the system upgrade, affecting platform services as well as risk management and control.
The platform has deleted its official YouTube channel and Facebook account, and market speculation suggests that the company is going to go bankrupt. On November 28, Ben Caselin, vice president of encryption exchange AAX, tweeted that he had resigned from the company, claiming that his proposal had been rejected and that the company brand no longer existed.
