CZ: Nearly A Quarter Of WhatsApp Numbers Are For Sale On The Dark web
According to Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ), there have been rumors that over 487 million WhatsApp numbers have been leaked on the dark web. The bad actor intends to sell these digits to anyone who satisfies their requirements.
CZ tweeted that a new set of 487 million WhatsApp phone numbers for sales on the dark web. A sample indicates the phone numbers are legit. With approximately 2 billion daily active users on WhatsApp, at least a quarter of user numbers has been leaked.
Immediately after Zhao issued a warning, a netizen responded that on WhatsApp, he was contacted by a user claiming to be Zhao himself. Changpeng Zhao responded that this WhatsApp number should be blocked.
Previously, Zhao stated that he expects countries without their own currencies to add Bitcoin to their reserves while speaking at a Binance event in Athens.
