SEC delays cryptoin Bitcoin ETF decision again

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its decision on yet another application for a Bitcoin ETF exchange trade fund.

This agency posted notification on the extension by a further 45 to 27 July 2021 with the cryptoin ETF application.

“The Commission believes that setting a longer period of time is appropriate to take action on the proposed rule change in order to allow sufficient time for the review,” the communication said.

Kryptoin began re-applying for a Bitcoin ETF in April of this year when it submitted an amendment to an application that had been dormant since 2019.

The SEC is known to have a “preference” for expanding its review of crypto-related products, even with this new president.

Last month, the SEC extended its ruling on WisdomTree’s proposed Bitcoin ETF until July 14th. In April, VanEck’s application was extended in a similar manner. All three are tied to CBOE.
