Yuga Labs Acquired WENEW And 10KTF NFT Collection
The artist’s NFT platform WENEW and its bestselling NFT line, 10KTF, were bought by Yuga Labs. Mike Winkelmann, aka Beeple, will join the business as an advisor.
Holders of top NFT collections like BAYC, Cool Cats, and Moonbirds may mint and collect one-of-a-kind NFTs showcasing their digital avatars on digital wearables through 10KTF, an interoperable digital marketplace.
Michael Figge, co-founder and CEO of WENEW, stated:
“We built this company with storytelling at the forefront. Yuga’s first-class contributions to story, experiences, and community were a huge inspiration. Their principles of openness inspired the interoperability of 10KTF. We’re excited to join Yuga and continue building amazing things in NFTs and web3 together.”
Michael Figge will also work for Yuga Labs as a chief content officer. His move to Yuga Labs, which received a $4 billion valuation during its $450 million seed round in March, will be followed by nearly 20 WENEW employees, bringing the company’s total number of full-time employees to over 100.
