Lionel Messi and Sorare’s relationship continues the recent trend of using athletes and famous people as the faces of cryptocurrency and NFT marketing initiatives.
Sorare CEO and co-founder Nicolas Julia said:

Lionel Messi is not the first famous player to enter the field. Former NFL player Tom Brady struck an agreement with FTX, while athlete Cristiano Ronaldo formed an NFT relationship with Binance. Serena Williams and Kylian Mbappe are already partners of Sorare.
