During the Solana Breakpoint conference in Lisbon (Portugal) from November 4 to 7, Solana said that she has cooperated with the famous sports shoe company ASICS and the Move-to-Earn STEPN project to launch a special line of running shoes.

Part of the UI Collection, Solana’s new running shoes are based on ASICS’ GT-2000™ 11 shoe line, with two basic colors of black and white and a gradient of Solana’s brand color on the heel. Shoes will only be available for sale exclusively on the website ui.asics.com, and there is no limit to the number of purchases.

The price of each shoe will be 200 USDC on Solana (including worldwide shipping and taxes). Buyers will be forced to use the Solana Pay payment app to place an order. The ordering period will be from now until 07:59 AM UTC on 11/8. Shoes are expected to be delivered in March 2022.

In particular, each user who orders a shoe will receive an NFT from ASICS, which serves as proof of purchase.

At the same time, STEPN announced that it would airdrop 1,001 NFT ASICS x STEPN “OG” Solana Realm sneakers to NFT holders purchasing the shoes. This Move-to-Earn project will enumerate wallet addresses holding NFT ASICS and randomly airdrop NFT sneakers to those wallets. STEPN plans to take a wallet snapshot and airdrop right in November.
