Yuga Labs Co-Founder: Otherside Metaverse The Persistent World Expected To Launch In 2023
In an interview with Punk6529, Yuga Labs co-founder Greg Solano revealed that the Otherside metaverse The Persistent World is expected to go live in 2023.
The Persistent World is anticipated to capitalize on the popularity of the Roblox platform. Roblox had 5.7 million users at its peak use on October 10, 2022. It has 9.5 million creators and over 40 million games. Sixty-seven percent of the game’s players are under the age of sixteen.
Yuga Labs, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, has a different game creation method than typical publishers. The team is working quickly to hire NFT holders as de facto Otherside testers.
Yuga Labs co-founder Wylie Aronow was quoted as saying:
“I think we’re doing things the opposite of the way a lot of gaming companies do things, starting with the iterative development of the game. Usually, what you see is that you’ll probably get a teaser, a few months later you’ll get a trailer, three years later, you’ll get a game.”
One of the most popular NFT initiatives, Otherdeeds NFT collecting, is the key to claiming territory on the Otherside. This week, the collection witnessed a full-fledged capitulation, ultimately breaking through a 1.6 ETH floor price that had held for months and plunging as low as 1.13 ETH.
