Earlier this month, one of TempleDAO’s staking vaults was compromised, resulting in the theft of 1,830 ETH, or about $2.3 million, by a hacker.

A roughly comparable sum of ETH has been sent from an address described as that of the TempleDAO hacker to a Tornado Cash router, according to blockchain data provider Peckshield. This all started with a 0.1 ETH investment just a few hours ago.

This new step in the TempleDAO attack comes after a busy month in the cryptocurrency business. October is already the month with the most crypto money stolen.

So far this month, 11 breaches totaling $718 million have occurred, capping a year that is anticipated to surpass the $3 billion stolen in 2021. These include the recent $100 million theft of Binance’s BNB cross-chain bridge and the $114 million Mango Markets vulnerability on Monday.
