Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Working Again With New Update
After experiencing a mine that resulted in a $100 million loss, Binance is trying to fix BSC with a new update. The chain is expected to be back up and running at 6:00 am UTC.
As updated in an earlier Coincu News article, the BNB chain team confirmed the news of an on-chain hack, with all deposits and withdrawals suspended on BSC. According to confirmation from Binance CEO CZ, over $100 million was stolen, $7 million of which was frozen.
BNBChain was mined and hackers stole millions of dollars while Binance immediately stopped withdrawals and deposits. According to the latest news from Twitter account PeckShieldAlert has detected phishing sites – BNBChain miners have raised around $89.5 million.
In its latest update, Binance also announced that BSC is back online with a new update. The chain is expected to be back up and running at 6:00 am UTC.
Although the number of 100 million is relatively large, the amount of money hacked is only equal to the most recent quarterly BNB burn of the exchange.
