Cool Cats Group Receives Strategic Investment From Animoca Brands
The Web3 firm behind the cartoon feline-based NFT collection Cool Cats, Cool Cats Group LLC, revealed Thursday that it had received a strategic investment and cooperation from Animoca Brands, owner of the metaverse platform The Sandbox.
The NFT project disclosed in a tweet that they are trying to integrate Cool Cats into new mediums of gaming and the open metaverse to increase the usefulness and interoperability of their digital assets within The Sandbox. Yat Siu, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands, has tweeted:
The CEO Stephen Teglas said in a press release:
“We’re thrilled to work more closely with Animoca Brands and tap into their deep gaming expertise to open up new immersive experiences for the Cool Cats community.
Many within our community already enjoy Animoca Brands’ properties and we can’t wait for Cool Cats holders to realize the value of our deepened relationship with Animoca Brands. We look forward to sharing announcements over the coming weeks and months as we roll out our partnership.”
Cool Cats is a collection of 9,999 randomly generated NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Launched on July 1, 2021, the group has already entered the top 20 NFT collections by market capitalization, according to data from CryptoSlam.
At the start of September, the project also announced a partnership with GAMEE, one of Animoca Brands’ subsidiaries, to build a virtual mobile gaming space.
