Polygon

Polygon is a Sidechain-based scaling solution for Public Blockchains. 

Based on Plasma technology, Matic Network provides scalability for side chains while ensuring the user experience, as well as the security and decentralization of the Blockchain.

Bridge

  • Matic Wallet: There is a Plasma bridge and a PoS bridge that supports the transfer of assets from the Ethereum network to the Polygon network and vice versa.
  • Transak: Gateway to connect Fiat to DeFI, now the project has supported the transfer of assets to the Matic network

  • Injective Protocol: A Defi Protocol, built on Layer 2, that supports Cross-chain and allows anyone to trade many derivative products like perpetual, futures, and spot trading.
  • Parcel: A Crypto Treasury management platform built on Gnosis Safe, IPFS and Filecoin. Parcel supports multisig txs, token swaps, teams management, yield optimization, ..
  • PlotX: A Prediction Protocol that allows users to make predictions and can profit from their predictions.
  • Bella: A DeFi aggregator that helps users optimize yield with one click, besides Bella also has lending and flex saving (select high yield assets to store).
  • EPNS: A DeFi protocol that allows notifications to be sent to the Ethereum network.
  • Rublic: DeFi Platform supports projects to create, manage and trade tokens.
  • QuickSwap: AMM similar to Uniswap built on Polygon.
  • Prosper: A short-term cross-chain platform prediction and hedging.
  • Exceed: Platform that allows all gamers to generate revenue from their skills, in other word, it is an extension for games so that not only players but also viewers can bet on which side wins.
  • Fire Protocol: Cross-chain platform developed on Huobi Eco Chain, products include money market, Dex.
  • Hxro: Derivatives marketplace that offers real-time perpetual contracts and has a simple gamify interface.
  • Xend Finance: A DeFi platform that offers multiple levels of interest by optimizing and aggregating different DeFi lending protocols.
  • Jelly: An AMM that supports cross-chain swap.
  • y3d: A yield farming platform that has an incentive LP mechanism.
  • DeFlect: Provides tools for token burn, liquidity locking and boostable (bootstrap + stable) pools
  • EasyFi: A layer 2 lending protocol that focuses on scalability, composability and adoption. The project is designed to serve the needs of lending & borrowing as well as other financial products.
  • JustLiquidity: A suite of DeFi products including exchange, App, Debit Cards and support for staking, cross-chain and private transactions.
  • Rebase Capital: An asset class that uses the rebase mechanism (change in supply depending on supply/demand)
  • Superfluid: An application to help manage and optimize assets. Assets will be rotated continuously to increase capital efficiency.
  • Swap Matic: AMM on the Matic Network.
  • OroPocket: The project allows users to buy and deposit assets to receive interest.
  • Reef: Combination of a liquidity aggregator and Yield Farming Platform.
  • Token Bulksender: Dapp helps to distribute ERC20 tokens to multiple addresses at once and saves on transaction fees.

2. Infrastructure

  • The Graph: A Protocol that allows Indexing and querying Data from Blockchain. The Graph allows anyone to build and publish APIs called Subgraph. Subgraph makes it easier to access Data from Blockchain.
  • Chainlink: Decentralized Oracle network, in other words, ChainLink is a bridge that relays information and data from the real world to Blockchain and vice versa.
  • API3: The oracle project with the aim of solving the problem of connecting smart contracts and the world through APIs of other parties.
  • Dark.Build: A suite of DeFi products that support converting tokens to the polygon network, staking, and NFT incentives.
  • Meter: Protocol layer 2 connects Ethereum and other chains.
  • Tellor: The decentralized Oracle network with the goal of bringing high-value and secure off-chain data to Ethereum.
  • Razor: A decentralized oracle platform that provides data from the real world for smart contracts using a network of stakers.
  • Gravity Protocol: Support solutions for small and medium businesses that want to apply the technology of blockchain.
  • Decentology: A toolkit that helps develop dapps in a short time. Decentology supports multiple developments on multiple platforms.
  • My Wish: A platform that allows creating smart contracts without code.
  • UTU: Trust infrastructure for subprime lending solutions in DeFi and beyond.

3. DAO

  • Jigstack: An asset management DAO. By creating a benchmark for quality and performance, products using the Jigstack brand will increase the reliability of users.
  • MahaDAO: A DAO that is run at the discretion of the token holder.

  • Aavegotchi: NFT project based on Ethereum blockchain combined with Aave’s lending mechanism.
  • NIFTEX: The project that allows the creation and trading of NFTs.
  • Cometh: Strategy game in which the winning player will receive tokens from the game. NFT in the game similar to the ghost in Aavegotchi is an NFT that automatically generates yield.
  • Terra Virtua: An ecosystem of NFT marketplaces.
  • Strain: An NFT collectable game in which NFTs can stake, farm and yield.
  • Animoca Brands: A blockchain game ecosystem for Android smartphones and tablets
  • Alethea AI: A platform that allows users to create animated AI avatars, using CHOLD technology
  • Neon District: NFT game in which NFTs can evolve gradually through play and crafting.
  • Bullionix: NFT collecting game, in which NFTs are backed by real gold, depending on the shape of the NFT will cost different amounts of gold.
  • Wildcard: The NFT platform allows conservationists to raise funds by selling NFTs and funding their activities.
  • Tokenized Tweets: Supports tokenizing tweets and uploading them to the blockchain.
  • Unifty: An NFT hub that allows farming and collecting NFTs.
  • MarbleCards: A game that collects web URLs. Any link can become a Marble card, but only once.
  • Showcase: A platform that allows influencers to create, sell, and showcase NFTs.

  • Chain Guardian: NFT game, where players will create their own cartoon characters, let them fight and receive rewards.
  • Spells of Genesis: Card collecting and trading game.
  • AnRKey X: Trading platform, staking NFT, in addition, users can also use NFT to play games and compete with other opponents.
  • Eternal : The game allows the creation of dungeons and characters with different powers.

  • Polymarket: The market for trading data and information.
  • Blockpass: An application for users to control personal data and eliminate the KYC process when using financial services. The user’s data will be shared into a pool, if the user agrees, companies and businesses will be able to use it without having to do KYC again.
  • 0Chain: Multi-chain decentralized shared cloud storage project.
  • Crypto Control: News aggregator allows users to follow the latest news on different coins.
  • SAPIEN: Platform that allows users to master personal data, reward content creators and fight fake news.

6. Others

  • Biconomy  The intersection of transactions, serving mass adoption for Web3.0 through user experience optimization.
  • Zawadi: A tool that allows ticket sellers and event organizers to send real tickets to fans through messages.
  • Creol: Using blockchain to create dapps for the purpose of assessing the quality of life where you live such as (comfort level, energy used, CO2, ..)
  • Sportx: Blockchain project to help create and sell sports equipment.
  • Personal Tokens: The project allows the tokenization of people.
  • Distributed Town: The project helps create or join a community of your choice without making your identity public.
  • Native: Allows creating tokens or loyalty programs for your community or company.
  • CrowdClick: A cost-effective solution that combines traffic and data and sends it to advertisers through crowdsourcing.
  • Zon Directory: Creating web directories, Zon Directory’s ambition is to rival current giants such as Google Directory, Yahoo! Directory and media platforms like Amazon e-books, etc.
  • OPU Labs: The project provides users with skincare solutions.
  • Ispolink: Recruitment project, helping to connect businesses and companies with individuals in need.
  • Finets: The project helps to create groups with a common purpose to grow together.

Verdict

At the moment the prominent faces in layer 2 are almost identified. What is needed now is to develop KEY BLOCKS on layer 2 or develop portals that facilitate migration from the Ethereum network to layer 2 in a way that makes people unaware they have moved to layer 2.

At the same time, projects that help connect L2 > L2 like Connext or Starkware are also an area that needs to be developed in the future.
