BAYC NFT Whale Lost 100 ETH Because Of His Joke

Jokes in the crypto market are not few. And today, let’s come to a story “don’t know whether to cry or laugh” of NFT investors.

NFT Whale Prank

In recent days, when the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain name is hot again, the community started to feel troubled when the Twitter bot announced the bid price (bet price) ENS “ringing” continuously. The reason for this is that many people enter the “fake bid” of ENS domains, and every time there is a new bid price, the bot will notify.

To troll such fake bids, the famous NFT investor Franklin came up with the idea to create an ENS domain name to enter and bid 100 ETH to play.

Following the community’s opinion, Franklin minted the domain name stop-doing-fake-bids-its-honestly-lame-my-guy.eth with a secondary wallet address. Then use your main wallet containing 57 NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club to bid 100 ETH.

And fulfilling the “wish”, the Twitter bot announced:

Not long after that, another user bid for this domain name for 1,891 ETH. Overjoyed that his mint domain name “plays” has someone willing to pay real money, Franklin accepted the bid price and did not forget to post on Twitter “happy” with the community.

Due to being so excited that our Franklin forgot to cancel the bid of 100 ETH.

And so, 15 minutes later, the unexpected profit turned into a loss… The new owner of that ENS accepted a bid of 100 ETH. In the end, Franklin gets his own ENS, and the other user gets 100 ETH from “selling” the NFT.

The guy frankly admits his mistake.

And to celebrate this “foolish” time, Franklin sent a letter in the form of NFT to the lucky user.

The other user also responded with another NFT:
