Coca-Cola Releases NFT Honoring The LGBTQIA+ Community
The beverage giant Coca-Cola announced the launch of the NFT Pride Collection series to honor the LGBTQIA+ community. Each NFT is unique and embodies a message of love.
In celebration of “International LGBT Pride Day”, Coca-Cola collaborated with Rich Minsi, Tafi, and Virtue to launch a special NFT collection.
The company representative expressed:
“NFT will be unique and aims to shine color-filled light on the community’s members and spread a message of love. And also pointed out that Rich Minsi’s artwork is based on the fact that Energy can not be destroyed, it can only be transferred, changed in form, locked up, or released.”
It is worth noting that the business will donate all profits to OUT, the second oldest organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community worldwide in South Africa.
Rich Minsi has been a well-known fashion designer in South Africa for over a decade. He has a strong fan base on social channels, with 700,000 followers on Instagram and over 200,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel.
Mnisi is well known for her campaigns in Africa in support of the LGBTQIA+ community. Under the partnership agreement with Coca-Cola, Mnisi will be responsible for creating 136 unique artworks for the NFT Pride collection.
Tafi and Virtue are two companies that recently teamed up to create a new NFT trading platform. Coca-Cola once collaborated with Tafi’s 3D creators to organize a special edition NFT ‘Boot Box’ auction.
Currently, 136 NFTs are officially available on the Coca-Cola PrideCollection website. This NFT is deployed on the Polygon blockchain and is being offered for sale at the price of 335 MATIC (about $150).
