Shiba Inu And Dogecoin Accepted By Food Delivery Service Uber Eats

Holders of Shiba Inu and Dogecoin can now use BitPay to pay for food deliveries from Uber Eats using their respective cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, XRP, Dai, Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), and stablecoins are some of the additional cryptocurrencies that BitPay supports.

According to a blog post by BitPay, this payment mechanism is only available with BitPay gift cards and BitPay cards because Uber Eats does not yet allow direct bitcoin payments. Menufy, a BitPay partner, offers payments using cryptocurrency wallets as an alternative payment method for takeaway or delivery from local or national restaurant chains.

BitPay supports crypto payments for takeaway establishments including Grill, Chili’s, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Steak ‘n Shake, and many more as well as food delivery services like DoorDash and GrubHub.

Currently, more and more people are accepting cryptocurrency as payment. Luxury watchmakers like Tag Heuer, Hublot, and Breitling are now taking cryptocurrencies through payment processor BitPay.

Panini America, a business that specializes in sports collectibles, has announced the impending debut of its cryptocurrency wallet, which will support cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu, Bitcoin, and others in collaboration with BitPay. This is in addition to luxury products and food deliveries. Based in the United States, Panini America is a global publisher of trading cards, stickers, comics, and kid’s magazines.

Network engagement between Shiba Inu and Dogecoin has increased

According to CoinCu, Santiment address activity for Dogecoin and Shiba has risen to seven-week highs. The on-chain analytic firm wrote in a tweet on June 29:

“Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, it appears as though they are each showing notable increases in network activity. Over the past 10 days especially, DOGE (+32%) and SHIB (+35%) have seen many returning network interactions.”
