The infamous “One Coin” scam cryptocurrency Ponzi Scheme, which defrauded investors out of $4 billion, has inspired a three-part documentary- Variety reports.

With the support of Channel 4 in the U.K., Sky Deutschland GmbH, and international television production and distribution business Fremantle, the new initiative has a lot of commercial potential.

The documentary, titled “Crypto Queen,” was co-produced by Tondowski Films and DARE Pictures. According to DARE Pictures’ founder and CEO Derren Lawford, there will be many of “surprise surprises.”

The Bulgarian entrepreneur Ruja Ignatova, who was the brains behind the significant fraud, will be the subject of the project. The alleged “crypto queen” advertised her idea as the “Bitcoin killer” that would overtake Bitcoin as the most popular cryptocurrency in the world.

The Ponzi scheme lacked a blockchain model
