According to a statement released on Wednesday, the blockchain corporation Ripple has established its first office in Canada.
The company’s “key engineering hub” will be located in its new Toronto facility. The largest city in the nation, according to Garlinghouse, is full of talent.
In order to eventually hire “hundreds” of blockchain software engineers, XRP will go on a hiring binge in Toronto.
In stark contrast to other significant cryptocurrency startups, including Coinbase, who have significantly decreased their employment, Garlinghouse stated that the company would continue to hire. The “large” cash reserve that XRP has will let the business to survive the current turmoil.
According to Garlinghouse’s statement, many gifted engineers are switching from traditional banking to the Bitcoin industry.
John Tory, the mayor of Toronto, praises Ripple’s “revolutionary technology” and claims that the company would be “a wonderful fit” for the city.
Ripple established operations in Dubai and Miami in 2021
Ripple had already worked with numerous Canadian universities as part of its University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) initiative before launching its first office in Canada.
